Theft, Robbery & Burglary

Facing Theft Charges in Pennsylvania

Information from a Pennsylvania Theft Lawyer

Delaware County, PA | Chester County, PA | Montgomery County, PA

There are major differences in how crimes related to stealing are dealt with in Pennsylvania. I am Attorney Saadzoi, and I am an experienced criminal defense lawyer who knows how to fight to get the best results possible.

If you have been charged with theft, robbery or burglary in Pennsylvania, call me today for a free legal consultation.

My office is located in Media, Pennsylvania where I help people and juveniles who are facing prison, probation, fines and loss of legal immigration status due to theft charges and related charges.

I have spent years in the court working as both a prosecutor and a public defender, giving me crucial insight into how prosecutors will treat your case, allowing me to anticipate problems before they develop.

I will fight to have your charges reduced or dropped altogether. Being arrested or charged with a crime does not necessarily mean you will be convicted.

Information on Theft, Robbery and Burglary Charges in PA

It is important to understand how the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania treats charges of theft, robbery and burglary differently and the related consequences of being convicted of these crimes.

  • Theft, such as shoplifting or retail theft, is the intent to deprive a business owner of his or her merchandise. The first and second offenses are misdemeanors, but the third offense is a felony.
  • Robbery is to deprive someone of his or her property through the use of force. This is always treated as a felony.
  • Burglary is the act of breaking into someone’s dwelling to deprive him or her of his or her property. This is also always treated as a felony.

The penalties for a felony conviction are much more harsh than a misdemeanor. But in both cases, heavy fines and jail time could be involved.

It is important to have an experienced and aggressive criminal lawyer represent you if you are charged with such a serious crime.

If you are charged with theft and you have not been in trouble with the law before, I may be able to resolve your case through Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD Program).
